The obligation
Controllers of passenger ropeways must hold design and certification records, investigate reports of unsafe equipment, and notify type faults to manufacturers or suppliers.
Controllers must obtain the drawings, manuals, data and design verification, inspection and test certificates needed to establish the ropeway was designed, manufactured, installed and certified under the PECPR Regulations. Employees must tell the controller as early as practicable of anything they believe unsafe, and controllers must have such reports promptly and fully investigated by a competent person.
