The Approved Code of Practice for Passenger Ropeways in New Zealand (1998 Edition) was issued under NZ health and safety legislation and repealed the 1991 edition issued by the NZ Mountain Safety Council. It covers safe design, installation, operation, and maintenance of ski-tows, chairlifts, gondolas, and similar systems. Amendment No. 1 was approved by the Minister of Labour in 2003.
