The obligation
The Act allows regulations on food standards, risk-based measures, imported food, recognised agencies, information, offences and administrative matters.
The Act also provides for issuing notices, including emergency notices. Regulations about risk-based measures may cover wine standards management plans or risk management programmes intended to operate as food control plans, and the roles of territorial authorities and the chief executive in registering food control plans. Before recommending those regulations, the Minister must be satisfied there has been appropriate consultation under section 379.
