The obligation
The code gives PCBUs practical guidance on general principles for preventing and managing inappropriate or unreasonable behaviour by workers at work.
The code is intended for PCBUs, who have a primary duty under the WHS Act to provide and maintain a work environment without risks to health and safety, including psychological health. It should be considered together with the general duties in the WHS Act and the Code of practice: Psychosocial hazards in the workplace. It applies to anyone whose functions involve managing, so far as is reasonably practicable, hazards and risks to psychological and physical health and safety at work.
