The Code applies to any person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) who carries out or manages a design function for structures intended for use at WA workplaces. This includes principal contractors, architects, engineers, and others who influence design decisions. Compliance with the Code assists duty holders in meeting their obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and the WHS (General) Regulations 2022 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
