The obligation
PCBUs must ensure plant has adequate operational controls, emergency stop devices, and warning systems appropriate to the risks.
Regulations 210–212 of the WHS (General) Regulations 2022 (WA) require plant operational controls to be clearly identified and easily accessible, emergency stops to be easily reachable and capable of stopping plant quickly, and warning devices to alert workers to dangers. The Code of Practice provides guidance on design, placement and testing of these controls.
