The obligation
PCBUs must provide health monitoring for workers where there is significant risk of health harm from exposure to certain hazardous chemicals listed in the WHS Regulations.
Where the WHS (General) Regulations 2022 (WA) require health monitoring for hazardous chemicals listed in Schedule 14, the PCBU must arrange it. A PCBU who uses, handles or stores Schedule 14 hazardous chemicals should also refer to WorkSafe WA's Guidance materials for health monitoring, which explain when monitoring is triggered, what it involves and the record-keeping requirements.
