The obligation
Food business proprietors and laboratory heads must immediately notify the CEO of an isolated or suspected pathogen associated with a food business.
Regulation 15 applies to a food business proprietor told of the isolation or suspected isolation of a pathogen from food, a person, premises, a vehicle or anything else associated with the business, and to the person in charge of a laboratory where it is isolated. The pathogens are Listeria monocytogenes, all Salmonella and Shigella species, and verotoxigenic E. coli.
