Designers of plant, buildings or structures to be used at or as workplaces must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the design is safe.
Under section 27, a designer of plant to be used at a workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, it is designed to be safe for its designed purpose, carry out necessary testing and examination, and give adequate information on its purpose, test results and conditions for safe use. Under section 28, a designer of a building or structure to be used as a workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, it is designed to be safe for people using it as a workplace.
