The Compliance Code: Noise (Ed. 2, Dec 2019) sets out Victoria's noise exposure standard: an eight-hour equivalent continuous sound level (LAeq,8h) of 85 dB(A) and a peak sound pressure level of 140 dB(C). Where noise at a workplace equals or exceeds these levels, the PCBU must take action to reduce exposure. The standard aligns with the OHS Regulations 2017 (Vic) reg. 3.3.
