The obligation
PCBUs must ensure plant is fitted with adequate operational controls and emergency stop devices, and that warning devices are provided where required (WHS Reg cl 210–212).
Clauses 210–212 of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022 (Tas) require operational controls to be clearly identified, accessible, and operable by the person using the plant; emergency stops to be provided where plant cannot be stopped quickly enough to prevent injury; and warning devices to alert persons to hazards.
