The Code requires labels to incorporate Globally Harmonised System (GHS) elements as adopted under the WHS Regulations: product identifier, hazard pictograms, signal word (Danger/Warning), hazard statements, precautionary statements, and supplier contact details. The label content must be consistent with the SDS. Where a chemical is reclassified or the SDS is updated, the label must be updated accordingly. This obligation applies to both manufacturers/importers and downstream suppliers.
