The obligation
PCBUs must identify, assess, and control health and safety risks associated with hazardous manual tasks under the WHS Act 2012 (Tas) and the Code of Practice.
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (Tas) and the Hazardous Manual Tasks Code of Practice, a PCBU must eliminate or minimise risks from hazardous manual tasks so far as is reasonably practicable. A manual task is hazardous if it involves repetitive or sustained force, high or sudden force, repetitive movement, sustained or awkward posture, or exposure to vibration.
