Persons responsible for an environmentally relevant activity must notify the Director within 24 hours of becoming aware of a pollutant release that may cause serious or material harm.
A person responsible for an environmentally relevant activity must notify the Director as soon as reasonably practicable, and no later than 24 hours, after becoming aware of a pollutant release from any incident in relation to that activity, including an emergency, accident or malfunction, that causes or may cause serious or material environmental harm.
