The obligation
Primary duties on persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers and others at the workplace.
Parts 2–3 of the WHS Regulations 2012 (SA) give operational effect to the PCBU duties in the WHS Act 2012. They prescribe how PCBUs must manage risks, consult workers, maintain safe systems of work, and ensure plant, substances, and structures are safe. Applies to all employers, contractors, and other entities conducting work-related activities in South Australia.
