Duty to notify SafeWork SA immediately of notifiable incidents (death, serious injury/illness, dangerous incidents) and preserve the incident site.
The WHS Regulations 2012 (SA) operationalise the notifiable-incident requirements in the WHS Act 2012. PCBUs must notify SafeWork SA as soon as practicable (immediately for deaths and serious injuries) and preserve the scene until an inspector attends or authorises disturbance. Records of notifications must be retained for 5 years.
