The obligation
Sections 22 to 26 place duties on businesses that design, manufacture, import, supply, install, construct or commission plant, substances or structures.
The supplier duty applies to a business that supplies plant, a substance or a structure that is to be used, or could reasonably be expected to be used, as or at a workplace. Designers, manufacturers, importers and suppliers must, on request and so far as is reasonably practicable, give current relevant information to a person who carries out, or is to carry out, the activities the sections cover.
