The obligation
PCBUs must ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that work involving fall risk is carried out on the ground or solid construction, and safe access/egress is provided.
Under the WHS Regulations (SA) and this Code, PCBUs must: (1) ensure work involving fall risk is carried out on the ground or on solid construction so far as reasonably practicable; (2) provide safe means of access and egress; and (3) minimise fall risks by providing a fall prevention device, work positioning system, or fall arrest system in that order of preference.
