Entry-level certificate divers must give a medical declaration, and a medical certificate where the declaration indicates a medical evaluation is needed.
A dive operator must ensure a person joins an entry-level certificate dive or non-certified dive only if they have given a medical declaration in the regulator-approved form that the operator has read and used to assess their fitness to dive. If the declaration indicates a medical practitioner's evaluation is needed, an entry-level certificate dive is allowed only once the person gives a medical certificate of fitness to dive (maximum penalty 30 penalty units). …
