The obligation
PCBUs must keep the current SDS for each hazardous chemical readily accessible and ensure chemicals, their containers and pipework are correctly labelled.
The current SDS must be readily accessible to workers who use, handle or store the chemical, to emergency service workers, and to anyone else likely to be exposed. Every worker likely to be exposed must know where to find the SDS, which may be held in hard copy or electronically near the work area. Manufacturers and importers must prepare the SDS and correctly label the chemical, and must regularly review this information so it stays correct.
