The obligation
PCBUs must ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the information, training, instruction or supervision needed to protect people from work health and safety risks.
Information, training and instruction must be suitable and adequate having regard to the nature of the work, the risks involved and the control measures implemented. It must be provided, so far as reasonably practicable, in a way that is readily understandable to the person receiving it. Training should be given by a competent person and should cover each party's responsibilities, how noise affects hearing, and the effects of hearing loss and tinnitus.
