The obligation
PCBUs should review control measures regularly, and the WHS Regulation requires a review in specified circumstances for specific risks.
A review is required when a control measure is not effective in controlling the risk. A review is also required before a workplace change likely to create a new or different risk the control may not control, if a new hazard or risk is identified, if consultation indicates a review is necessary, or if a health and safety representative requests one. If maintenance reveals new hazards, or existing hazards not being addressed, control measures need to be reviewed.
