The obligation
A person with management or control of a workplace must ensure the asbestos register is reviewed and, where necessary, revised in specified circumstances.
Review is required if the asbestos management plan is reviewed, further asbestos or ACM is found, asbestos is removed, disturbed, sealed or enclosed, or refurbishment or demolition is to be done. The register should be reviewed at least once every five years. During review, listed asbestos and ACM should be visually inspected to determine its condition.
