The obligation
The code gives practical advice to businesses and people who carry valuables for reward in armoured or soft skin vehicle operations.
It does not cover in-house transport of goods by the owner or the owner's workers. It is aimed at everyone in the CIT industry, particularly PCBUs, self-employed persons, designers of structures used as workplaces, and workers. Armoured vehicle operations use purpose-designed vehicles that resist armed attack, display company signage and are staffed by armed, uniformed personnel; soft skin operations use a non-armoured vehicle.
