PCBUs transporting cash or valuables in Queensland must either comply with this Code or adopt an alternative method meeting an equivalent or higher WHS standard.
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) s 274, the Cash in Transit Code of Practice 2011 is an approved code. A PCBU conducting cash-in-transit activities may comply with the Code or demonstrate an alternative method that provides an equivalent or higher standard. Failure to do so is admissible evidence in prosecution proceedings. Applies to both armoured and softskin vehicle operations.
