The Regulations set out the procedural framework for environmental impact assessment (EIA) in the NT. Proponents must refer controlled actions to the Minister or delegate, meet prescribed documentation requirements, and engage in public consultation processes. The Regulations prescribe content requirements for referrals, draft environmental approval documents, and statements of unacceptable impact (see reg 160 re consultation on draft approvals).
