SafeWork NSW published the 'Safe use and design of bulk storage silos and bins' Code of Practice in 2026 following a public consultation process that closed 21 December 2025. The new Code replaces this legacy pre-WHS Code and aligns duties with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW). Designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and PCBUs managing bulk storage silos, field bins, and chaser bins must now rely on the new Code to demonstrate compliance.
