The legacy Code was issued under the repealed OHS Act 2000. SafeWork NSW has now published the finalised 2026 'Safe use and storage of agricultural and veterinary chemicals Code of Practice' (developed under WHS Act 2011) following public consultation that closed in December 2025. Additionally, from 1 July 2026, WHS Act s 26A makes compliance with an approved CoP a minimum standard for PCBUs.
