The obligation
The administrative fee is calculated in steps that apply an environmental management factor based on the licence holder's environmental management category.
Step 2 works out the category under the environmental management calculation protocol, which the EPA must issue and make available on its website. Step 3 multiplies the step 1 amount by the factor for that category: A 0.95, B 1.0, C 1.3, D 1.6, E 2.0. Steps 2 and 3 do not apply to a licence for an activity declared by the Act, Schedule 1, clause 48, or to the first licence fee period for an applicant who has not previously held a licence for the premises.
