The obligation
A PCBU must eliminate risks from moving plant on construction sites or, if that is not reasonably practicable, minimise them so far as is reasonably practicable.
The Code links these PCBU duties to WHS Act sections 19, 46 and 47 and WHS Regulation section 55C. This includes providing and maintaining a safe work environment, safe plant and structures and safe systems of work, and the information, training, instruction and supervision needed to protect people. It also covers monitoring workplace health and conditions, adequate welfare facilities and managing psychosocial hazards.
