The obligation
Licensed asbestos removalists must name one or more certified asbestos removal supervisors in their licence to oversee removal work.
Named supervisors must hold certification appropriate to the type of licensed removal work being carried out. For Class A work, such as removing friable asbestos, a named supervisor must be present at the removal area whenever the work is carried out. For Class B work, such as more than 10 m2 of non-friable asbestos, a named supervisor must be readily available to workers whenever they carry out the work.
