The obligation
A written asbestos removal control plan must be prepared before removal work begins, covering identification, preparation, removal methods, PPE/RPE, air monitoring, decontamination, and waste disposal.
Before commencing removal work, the licensed removalist must prepare an asbestos removal control plan (ARCP). The ARCP must include: notification confirmation; identification of asbestos type, condition and quantity; consultation with HSRs and workers; assigned responsibilities; program dates; emergency plans; removal boundaries and isolation; PPE/RPE details; air monitoring (required for friable); decontamination procedures; and waste storage and disposal.
