The obligation
The Code applies if you design, construct, erect, alter, maintain, dismantle or remove formwork, and uses the term 'formwork' to include falsework.
It is intended to be read by PCBUs who have management or control of formwork in the workplace, and includes information about specific control measures required under the WHS Regulation for formwork. Joists, bearers, bracing, foundations and footings are technically falsework, but in the Code the term 'formwork' includes falsework unless otherwise specified.
