The SafeWork NSW Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace (approved under WHS Act 2011 s 274) requires PCBUs to conduct a first aid risk assessment and provide: adequate first aid kits (including contents per Appendix C), sufficient trained first aiders proportional to workplace risk and size, and appropriate first aid facilities. The Code references WHS Regulation cl 42(3) factors: nature of work and hazards, workplace size and location, and number/composition of workers.
