PCBUs sharing a workplace or overlapping duties must coordinate their WHS activities — including hazard identification, risk controls, and emergency procedures — so far as is reasonably practicable.
The Code provides practical guidance on coordination between PCBUs who share a workplace or whose activities interface. This includes aligning induction and training programs, coordinating safe work method statements, sharing incident reporting information, and establishing a single point of contact or WHS management plan for multi-employer worksites. The duty applies regardless of contractual arrangements and cannot be delegated away.
