The obligation
PCBUs must consult workers when making decisions about the adequacy of facilities for their welfare, such as the number and location of toilets.
You must consult your workers when deciding what facilities are needed, considering the number and composition of the workforce, the type of work, the nature of workplace hazards and the size and location of the workplace. The consultation should include access, cleaning and maintenance of the facilities. Where facilities are already provided, you should consult workers and their health and safety representatives when changes affect the adequacy of the facilities.
