The obligation
The current model Code, dated November 2024, incorporates all amendments made since its July 2012 publication.
Amendments include changes agreed in 2018 as part of a technical and usability review. The 2024 update reflects amendments to the model WHS Regulations and the publication of the model Code of Practice: Managing psychosocial hazards at work. The Code notes that eliminating physical and psychosocial hazards at the design stage is often easier and cheaper than making changes later. For example, including meeting rooms in a workplace design can avoid remote or isolated work.
