The Code prescribes a 16-section SDS format aligned with the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Mandatory sections include: identification, hazard identification, composition, first-aid measures, fire-fighting, accidental release, handling and storage, exposure controls/PPE, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, toxicological, ecological, disposal, transport, regulatory, and other information.
