The obligation
PCBUs must provide adequate and accessible welfare facilities including toilets, drinking water, washing facilities, and eating areas, so far as is reasonably practicable.
The WHS Regulations and this Code require PCBUs to provide adequate facilities for the welfare of workers. Minimum requirements include toilets, drinking water, washing and eating facilities. Specific guidance addresses construction workplaces, facilities ratios, and additional provisions such as drying facilities for workers who need to decontaminate (e.g. after asbestos or lead work).
