The obligation
PCBUs should prepare a noise assessment report showing the assessment was done properly, and use it to select control measures.
The report should contain all the information listed in Appendix E of the Code. This includes interpreting results against exposure standards, ranking noise sources, recommended noise controls and the adequacy of existing controls and hearing protectors. The main findings should be built into training for all workers. Managers, health and safety representatives and regulators should have access to the reports.
