PCBUs must identify psychosocial hazards, assess the risks, and implement control measures so far as is reasonably practicable, in line with the Code and WHS Regulation 2011 (ACT).
Under the WHS Act 2011 (ACT) and the WHS Regulation 2011 (ACT), PCBUs have a primary duty of care to manage psychosocial risks. The Code of Practice (NI 2023-482) provides practical guidance on: identifying psychosocial hazards (e.g. high job demands, poor support, workplace violence); assessing and prioritising risks; selecting and implementing controls; monitoring and reviewing effectiveness. The Code supports the hierarchy of controls framework.
