Under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (ACT), PCBUs must provide first aid equipment, facilities, and a sufficient number of trained first aiders. The First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice (NI2020-543) provides practical guidance on meeting this duty. Requirements are scaled to workplace size, type of work, and hazard profile. Following the Code assists PCBUs in achieving compliance with the relevant duties in the WHS Act and Regulation.
