The obligation
PCBUs must identify all locations and work tasks reasonably likely to cause injury due to a fall, including access to and exit from work areas.
The Code sets out a process to identify hazards, assess risks where necessary, eliminate risks so far as is reasonably practicable, otherwise control them under the hierarchy of control measures, and review controls. A risk assessment is not mandatory under the WHS Regulations and is not required where a risk and its effective controls are already known.
